The Graduate Student Association of the University of New Brunswick was founded by students to provide representation for all of the graduate students attending UNB. The GSA currently represents over 1200 full and part-time graduate students studying at both UNB campuses.

The GSA's Fredericton office is located in Alden Nowlan House, affectionately called "the Grad House," at 676 Windsor Street.

The GSA offers many services to Graduate Students at UNB including the bar and cafe services, barbeques, student advocacy, political activism, health and dental insurance plans, and more.  You can use the conference room on the top floor for meetings or simply to check your email.  You can also book the House for a private function or come by and have a drink while watching the big-screen!

With the success of Orientation Week behind us and the term underway, check back often to learn about ways you and your friends can un-wind from school.  We have many fun and exciting events and activities in the works!

Please take note that Alden Nowlan House is a Safe Space, as passed by Council on February 6, 2008. The entire Alden Nowlan House, including the bar, is a safe space for all individuals to be open about their sexual orientation or gender identity, without fear of discrimination due to homophobia, transphobia, or other harassment.

The GSA Executive Committee strives to make the Grad House as welcoming as possible to all individuals, regardless of ethnic origin, religious belief, or sexual orientation. When you see this sticker, it means "ignorance, intolerance, bigotry, and harassment are not acceptable." The GSA Executive Committee takes harassment seriously! The message on this sticker should also be taken seriously by all individuals, because we want everyone to have an enjoyable experience at the Grad House.
