GSA Media Fund

There is still some of the Media Fund available with Graduate Student Association (GSA). The Media Fund is available for media/communication groups from UNB community. This Fund is given to media/communications groups to increase awareness and outreach of the GSA and Graduate students at UNB. Please complete your application and submit to vpfinance@unbgsa.ca latest by Feb 22, 2016. Criteria for the GSA Media Fund Applications: 1. How your organization can fulfil the purpose of GSA Media Fund? In other words, how could your organization help increase awareness and outreach of the GSA and Graduate Students at UNB? 2. The organization must provide a budget in order to show their financial need for funding and their proper financial oversight of those funds. 3. The organization must provide a statement (can be included in the statement with 2nd point above) that establishes their value at increasing the overall awareness and recognition of the GSA.

GSA AGM – President Elections

The Graduate Students Association will be conducting the organizing the Annual General meeting 2015 on November 25th 2015 at 5:30 pm . Election for President of the GSA will be held during the AGM. Presidential Election: • All graduate students are encouraged to attend the AGM and vote in our upcoming presidential election (Wednesday - November 25th @ 5:30 Tilley Hall– room 125) • Every GSA student in (good standing) is eligible to vote for the president. A GSA member “in good standing” is essentially a graduate student who has paid their fees (included with tuition). If a student has a valid UNB Fredericton graduate student ID card then they are eligible to vote. • If a student cannot attend the AGM they may vote for the president via a proxy vote. • Councilors are urged to collect proxy forms from students in their departments. • Students that are not in Fredericton can submit a digitally signed form, the person acting as your proxy may print the form and bring it to the AGM on your behalf. • Incomplete forms will not be accepted. GSA Annual General Meeting

GSA Office and Bar Opening Times

GSA Office and Bar will be back to official scheduled times effective from September 1st 2015. GSA Office will be open from Monday to Thursday 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Windsor Castle Bar will be open on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday from 3:00pm – 10:00pm, Thursday: 3:00pm – 11:00pm and Friday: 12:00pm – 12am. Saturday & Sunday: Closed. Thank you for your understanding!.

Graduate Student Association Elections

The GSA is currently seeking nominations for the following positions: President, VP Finance, VP Academic and VP External. Election for President will be held during the AGM on November 25th @ 5:30 (location TBA) which all graduate students are encouraged to attend. Elections for VP positions will be held during the GSA council meeting on November 25th following the AGM. Prospective candidates should submit a completed nomination form (hard copy) to the GSA office no later than November 20th, 2015.
