The Graduate Student Association now partners with the UNB Student Union to offer the Safe Ride Program.

Graduate Students are now eligible to use SAFERIDE home after a long day at the university. Just show your student ID, SAFERIDE will drive you home. It is a free service available throughout the school year.

Pickup Locations

SUB, Head Hall, and James Dunn Hall (STU Campus) entrances. Designated white boards near the entrances will inform you about next pickup time.

Sobeys Grocery Runs

SafeRide takes students from the campus to the Regent Street Sobey’s location for student discount day! This service runs on Tuesdays from 1:00 PM-5:00 PM, with pickup in front of the SUB and Sir James Dunn Hall. It also includes a drive to your home after shopping.

Announcements.

Yesterday, the final report of the President’s Taskforce and its recommendations were presented at the Senate meeting. The GSA took part in the president’s task force and presented the recommendations based on the survey of Graduate Student Funding. The GSA is appreciative that the report has been submitted for implementation and that the recommendations are a great start to fixing the funding situation for Graduate students at UNB….
